Initiative for Equality (IfE) will present a panel discussion at the upcoming Left Forum, entitled “Transnational Solidarity in Social Justice Movements.” The discussion will focus on why it is essential to have international activist collaborations, and how to engage in them appropriately and effectively.

 

Speakers will include Deborah S. Rogers, President, Initiative for Equality; Ugo Nwokeji, Associate Professor of African history and African American Studies, University of California, Berkeley; and Jiwon Chung, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art, Media and Social Justice at the Starr King School, Graduate Theological Union.

 

The panel discussion will take place at 2:45 pm, Saturday November 4, in Room 5 at the LA Trade Technical College, Los Angeles, California, US.
