IfE is not a centralized organization with a staff that conducts projects. We are a global network of organizations and activists that collaborate on issues related to social, economic and political empowerment and equality. Collaboration (many groups working together in a coordinated fashion) and collective action (groups working independently towards the same goals) are the best ways to challenge those who impose centralized, top-down control, often by force. IfE has a long history of creating change through democratically coordinated collaborations such as those described in the articles in the sidebar.
